  1. We have a family cook up around a huge kitchen bench. Everyone from kids to great grandparents help cook. We eat, talk, laugh, play games and then the easter egg hunt. There is something very special about watching kids and adults frolick through the garden in search of chocolate treasures, the laughter, the look on a little ones face. Simple pleasures in life, how fortunate we are to have them.
    Happy Easter Everyone

  2. We thrive on our annual Easter camping trip to the Macleay River with friends and family. Fishing, canoeing, swimming, rock collecting, campfire cooking and enjoying the wildlife and the quiet. Of course, eating chocolate and having an egg hunt when the children are with us.

  3. I LOVE hiding the eggs! With a 2,3 and 14 year old, eggs need to be hidden at all different levels to keep everyone guessing. Miss 14 knows that an egg is only hers if it can’t be seen, that means she has to hunt extra hard – this will be her first gluten free easter though, with a Coeliacs Disease diagnosis under her belt, we are on the hunt ourselves for Gluten Free chocolate eggs, so thank you very much for your very timely post πŸ™‚

    • I still remember how exciting the Easter Egg hunt was, even as a teenager. I wish you all the best in the draw, and perhaps you won’t have to look so hard for the gluten-free treats this year πŸ™‚

  4. Well there is nothing better than going to church and singing those Easter songs, but we also love Easter egg cracking competitions.

  5. Hiding Easter Eggs for little ones, when I was little I got to hide them but I forgot where!! We never did find them..

  6. Easter lunch with my parents and my 3 sisters and their families is wonderful. My 3 year old loves being with his cousins, and is excited already. (2 of his cousins have coeliacs disease, with one only being diagnosed last month. My son loves asking if products are gluten free to tell his cousins later on).

  7. We make carob easter eggs for our gorgeous rescue dogs and they have an egg hunt in the backyard… they are amazingly fast and so funny to watch racing around finding their goodies!

  8. This year Im celebrating easter one week later. Im currently an Au Pair in Dublin, Ireland and my parents are visiting me the week after easter. Then we’re gonna celebrate together with food and easter eggs! Looking forward to that πŸ™‚

  9. I tie ribbon to the end of the kids beds and weave it around the house with eggs and goodies to find along the way

  10. I love going to my gma’s and baking with her, the most delicious homemade hot cross buns you will have ever tasted in your life! They’re also gluten, dairy AND refined sugar free which is perfect if you’re feeling a little guilty when devouring all other Easter treats! πŸ™‚

  11. I still dye eggs with natural dyes, like my grandmother. Beets, turmeric, and red cabbage make beautiful dyes. I also love making deviled eggs with the leftover hard-boiled eggs!

  12. I go to church and have my sisters over at my mom’s house for lunch. maybe watch a movie or play a game
